Recently Deleted

Use Site Settings > Recently Deleted to review deleted files and folders and restore them back into the Site when needed.

Recently Deleted is shown when ordinary deletion is allowed for the Site or when the Site already has recently deleted items. If the Site is configured to archive content instead of deleting it, use Archived Content instead.

What You Can Do

Recently Deleted lets Site administrators:

  • review deleted content
  • restore one item or many items
  • choose the destination for restored content
  • restore items back to the original location when that location is still available

Restore Content

  1. Open Site Settings > Recently Deleted
  2. Select the file or folder you want to restore
  3. Choose the destination
  4. Confirm the restore

If multiple items share the same original parent location, Clear Ideas can preselect that destination.

When This Is Useful

Use Recently Deleted when content was removed too early, deleted by mistake, or needs to be returned to the governed workspace for continued review.

Deleted files may be permanently removed after the retention period. Archived content is different: it remains retained until an administrator restores it or a future governance process changes its status.
