Signer Verification
Clear Ideas can require signer verification before a recipient begins signing.
Verification Methods
- Authenticated User: the signer must be signed in to the correct Clear Ideas account
- Email Code: the signer must enter a verification code emailed during the signing process before the document is revealed
- Required Account 2FA: the signer must have two-factor authentication enabled on their Clear Ideas account when that request setting is selected
Why Verification Matters
Verification strengthens the signing record by tying the signing ceremony to a validated Clear Ideas account and any captured verification events for that signer.
Grace Period
If a recipient has just verified their email as part of becoming a new Clear Ideas user, Clear Ideas allows a short grace period before requiring another signing-time email code.
