Local Sync Sites
Use Settings > Local Sync Sites to control account-level Local Sync access and manage which Sites are available for desktop synchronization.
What This Setting Does
Local Sync Sites includes:
- an account-level toggle to enable or disable Local Sync
- a list of Sites currently available for Local Sync
- per-Site controls for whether a Site stays in your synced-Sites list
The desktop macOS and Windows apps rely on this setting. If Local Sync is off here, the desktop apps cannot sync content for the account.
Manage Local Sync Access
Enable or disable Local Sync
Turn Local Sync on when you want this account to use the desktop sync apps.
If you turn it off, Clear Ideas asks for confirmation before disabling Local Sync for the account.
Manage individual synced Sites
Use the Site list to keep only the workspaces you want available for Local Sync. This is useful when:
- you do not want every eligible Site syncing to every device
- you want to narrow desktop sync to active workspaces
- you want to remove a Site from your Local Sync set without disabling the feature entirely
