PDF Watermarks
The PDF watermarking feature in the Clear Ideas App provides an additional layer of document security and personalization, ensuring that your content remains protected and easily identifiable.
Supported Formats:
- PDF - .pdf (application/pdf)
Enabling Watermarks
In the site settings, users can enable watermarking specifically for PDF documents. It is important to note that this feature only applies to PDFs that do not have existing security or encryption settings that would prevent the application of watermarks.
Customizing Watermarks
Users have the flexibility to customize the watermark text, with "CONFIDENTIAL" set as the default. Additionally, users can choose to include dynamic elements such as the user's name, email, date, and/or time, tailoring the watermark to meet specific security or informational needs.
Role-Based Watermark Appearance
By default, watermarks do not appear on PDF documents for sites that you own. However, you can choose to enable watermarks for different user roles, including Admin, Editor, Uploader, Downloader, and Viewer. This role-based customization ensures that only the necessary parties see the watermarked information, enhancing control over document visibility and security.
