Local Sync and Clear Ideas Sync App
The Clear Ideas Sync App is an application for Mac and Windows that runs in the background to facilitate synchronization between local files and the Clear Ideas App.
1. Site Selection and Access
- Users with administrative access can select which sites to sync locally using the Clear Ideas Application.

- Different keys are maintained for various types of data to limit risk exposure and improve data segregation.
- Key rotation is conducted periodically and upon any security event, ensuring keys remain secure and up-to-date.
2. Synchronization
- The Clear Ideas Sync App will periodically reconcile content between the cloud-based Clear Ideas App and a user's local computer.
- New content from the Clear Ideas App will be downloaded to the local computer, while new content from the local computer will be uploaded to the Clear Ideas App.
3. Sync Control
- Users have the option to pause local syncing or disable automatic syncing, opting for manual syncs as needed.
4. Versioning
- New content replaces old content with a new version, which can be accessed when viewing the file properties within the Clear Ideas App.
- By default, the most recent version will be the file that is displayed to users that have access to a site.
5. Automatic Updates
- The Clear Ideas Sync App includes automatic updates to ensure users have the most current version of the app.
