# Signing Request Defaults

Use **Settings > Signing Request Defaults** to manage the default disclosure text applied to signing requests.

## What This Setting Controls

Signing Request Defaults currently covers the default disclosure body shown with your signing requests.

This helps keep recurring signing workflows consistent, especially when the same legal or process language should appear every time.

## Organization Policy Interaction

If your account belongs to an organization, signing policy may:

- provide a default disclosure body
- allow you to override that default
- lock the disclosure so it cannot be changed at the user level

If the field appears read-only, the organization policy is controlling it.

## Manage the Default Disclosure

1. Open **Settings > Signing Request Defaults**
2. Review the effective disclosure text
3. Update it if your organization allows overrides
4. Save the change
