# Send and Track Requests

Once a request is prepared, you can either save it as a draft or send it immediately.

## Request States

- **Draft**: prepared but not yet sent
- **Sent**: sent to one or more recipients
- **In Progress**: at least one recipient has opened or signed
- **Completed**: all required recipients have signed
- **Declined**: a recipient declined the request
- **Cancelled**: the sender cancelled the request
- **Expired**: the request expired before completion

## Tracking Recipient Progress

For each recipient, Clear Ideas tracks:

- delivery
- delivery issues such as bounced email or spam complaint
- viewed status
- verification status
- signed status
- decline status

## Sequential vs Parallel

- In **Sequential** requests, the next signer is notified when it is their turn.
- In **Parallel** requests, recipients can sign independently.

## Authentication-Gated Requests

If a request requires an email verification code before signing begins, Clear Ideas does not reveal the request details or document until that challenge is completed successfully.
